stuff and cooking

I never photographed or blogged the remainder of my KCWC clothes!! My machine's tension went a bit crazy on me which cut out a full day of sewing, I just could not fix it (mind you, she is in dire need of a service poor thing). The following day, miraculously she had sorted herself out, so I managed to sew a pair of shorts for Lucia and a flippy skirt for Evie. I WILL photograph them next time they have them on I promise! As for today, I cooked - I baked apple bars! I wanted something the girls could help me with (I try really hard to enjoy cooking with them but at times - grrr!)

As usual I am always on the lookout for recipes I can use for school lunchboxes, and these seemed to fit the bill. All recipes that I have tried from Pod and Three Peas have been delicious, this is a fantastic food blog if you enjoy that kind of thing.

It was suggested to add oats to the crumble and so I did, although I was disappointed that my crumble didn't crumble as much as I was hoping (did that make any sense at all?) but I put the blame squarely on my stooopid oven which cannot cook properly at all!

Verdict: Delicious!
