Oh Sophie this is such awful news. My father told me on Monday that he has cancer so I know a little of what you must be feeling. Take care. My thoughts and love is with you.
Oh Sophie, I am so sorry to hear that. I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling. My thoughts are with you and your family. If there is anything you need that I can help with please let me know.
Oh darling, I am SO sorry. My mum was diagnosed in August with cancer of the oesophagus. My dad died in 2004, 4 days before J was born. Cancer is an awful, awful thing. Sending you lots of love and hoping for good news for you all. You have written so beautifully about your dad... Amelia
Oh Sophie, I am just catching up and read your awful news. Your poor Dad - how desperately scary and just f$cking awful for him . And for you all. Thinking of you. Xxx
I have just discovered your blog. And reading back though the posts found this one. I can sympathize with you, not because like you I have had two parents that have had cancer ( you no that technically we are are a rare breed - children with parents who both have cancer) My dad died 18months ago, suffering from two kinds of cancers, but only one killed him. My mum, is dying as a write this riddled with ovarian cancer. Cancer is a bastard does not sum it up. Im 37 I have to have a hysterectomy and must consider a mastectomy, due to the cancer genes that I now carry. The horror of having to explain all of this to the three lovely children I have is terrible. Cancer has become such a big part of the community and everyones lives, that sorry becomes so mundane. I do feel for you, and hope that your father does not suffer. My thoughts are with you and the loving family you seem to have
