This is Nera, Siena's 2 day old chicken she has to raise as part of her Agriculture subject. She has been a BIG hit with the 2 littlies, Eva's enthusiasm has caused me to hold my breath a few times as I witness overly demonstrative love to this fragile little creature.
Her name was thought up by me! Her beautiful black feathers made me think nero which is the Italian word for black and as she is a girl, naturally it had to be Nera, so there you go. It's a pretty name for a pretty chick.

My girls would love to have one of those in the house, and I am sure it would get a little over loved at times as well.
First, how awesome she has an agriculture class - really? Second, how long do you have this chick for and what does she/you have to do with it?
