do you Haiku?

What a cheesy title!!

Siena and I thought it might be fun to read a Haiku poem that we had written each night at dinner, we tried to get Andrew on board but he wasn't too fussed on the idea, Lucia I think will write some terrific poems with a little help - that is if she ever lets someone help...

Mine:
Hot, steamy, sticky
weather that is for others
not for the white folks.

Siena:
Light the candle, burn
share the light and warmth in turns
so the dark can't last.

Give it a try.

They are both really good poems. I was never any good at poetry in school. Mine always sounded a bit lame. And I love your cheesy title too. Cheesy titles are always the funnest. is that a word?

What fun! Have you read the haiku written by the Selfish Seamstress? They're hilarious! Check it out - http://selfishseamstress.wordpress.com/category/haiku/

Fantastic Sophie, what a way to get the grey matter working (something I need desperately, each day I loose alittle more I think) :)
