After my debacle with the pants, and my confidence shot down into little pieces I went right back to what I know and feel comfortable with; facings and sleeves, hems and seams...all within my comfort zone.
I have realised that when it comes to me, my personal pursuits I am not a bounce back kind of girl. I beat myself up big time and getting back on the horse takes a major mental argument - the "you're being silly, everyone makes mistakes" side versus the "all you ever do is make mistakes, give up" side.
I am going to get back to those pants and finish them so help me, just so I can tell that nasty side to bugger off.
p.s I do not have multiple personality disorder - I think maybe only duel personality disorder...

I'm barracking for your "you can do it" side.
I love the look of the top, but you will not be allowed in to stay in May if you don't have on those pants lady
oh great pattern! love it!!!!!!!! you get back on that horse! we do all make mistakes, all the time! But I bet the next time you make pants you check those pockets 20 times before you sew them on, you just learnt the hard way!!!!!!
those pants are just gorgeous and can't wait to see them finished!
corrie;)
The fabric and pattern are so lovely. I know what you mean about "the voice." We're our own worst critics! But you, my dear, are amazing... don't listen to that voice. You have quite a few friends and family that would argue with that voice, as well.
I love that fabric! Good luck making the top and don't be too hard on yourself ok? At least you are giving it a go, I'm too chicken to make anything complicated! I'm sure you'll do a fab job xo
oh love this pattern, so cute. can't wait to see the dress all finished in this fabric! are you making it long or short?
Gorgeous...that top is lovely. Great job. I am looking forward to seeing those pants finished too :)
