work it Finn

I just asked Finn to stand at the door so I could a photo of him in his new shirt but Evie had to muscle in on the action to, she is used to being asked to stand by the door for a photo, and she generally just likes having her photo taken!

I think Finny looks pretty darn cute in his new shirt, although I think the pocket maybe a little on the skinny side. I want to try and source some lovely boy fabric that isn't necessarily transport or insects. I like this Ikea fabric because it's quite androgynous and works well with either boy or girl patterns, it lends itself to be manipulated by the type of trims and accessories that you want to use. I can totally see this made into a gathered skirt with a big orange frill around the bottom, edged with some lovely white thread.

My house is such a mess.

A little bit of Lucia love - what a cutie!!

Yes, the shirt is great. I like that you are avoiding the usual boy patterned fabric. I do get tired of trucks and bugs on boys.

Insanely cute! (The shirt is quite adorable, too!)

I love the fabric you chose, and I think the pocket is fine. I, too, am tired of the traditional "boyish" prints. Nice job!

That's a great shirt! I have that same fabric here and am still pondering on what to make of it. Great to see what you did!

By the way, Stephanie: Ikea here is by far one of the favorite trips for our kids. They have those car-like-carts which they love to tour in :-) And play-thingies throughout the store... yes, they think it's lots of fun to go to Ikea for fabric. Lucky me!

That first photo is particularly full of cuteness. I love the Ikea fabric.
Your hexagon quilt is looking amazing and I love how it looks so timeless.
