eating not working

It's my last child free day before Market and I have polished off an avocado and a box of Jatz whilst reading blogs all freaking morning! I have 3 hours until the middle child returns and I need to get cracking!!

I have finished all new terry bibs (about 14 I think) so I hope they will find new homes on Sunday. I enjoyed making these little trees, my mother in law said my applique is much better than when I first started, coming from a total sewing freak (this woman can make anything) it gave me a nice little boost.

I also covered about a million (or around 16) buttons last night whilst watching Studio 60, to make little hair ties. I actually want to hide some of these from my sister so I can keep them for my girls (well just Lucia and Eva really), Siena would rather clean the guinea pig cage 5 times over than wear floral buttons in her hair.

These 2 sweeties are my favourite. I just adore this blue fabric from Holland Fabric House, it's divine.

Quick I will distract your sister, and you hid them and we shall never speak of the missing 16 button again. I agree with your favourite choices.

It never ceases to amaze just how many hours fly by when I am reading blogs. Your bibs and hair ties are gorgeous! Best of luck at the market!

Your bibs are stunning Sophie. I love the appliquéd tree. Eating avocado and reading blogs sounds like a very nice way to spend a morning....

I actually just cut some fabric to make bibs for a pregnant friend (well, for her baby!). I love your fabrics, and those appliqués are beautiful!

I so know what you're talking about. I too spend lots of time reading blogs, time in which I could sew, or knit, or draw, or ..
On the other hand, those blogs are really inspiring. And if I didn't take the time to read them, I would never see such lovely buttons like yours :-)

Gorgeous buttons - love the last 2 as they match Minnie's smock.

And your applique is great - I love the tree design. But I understand the 'joys' of sewing around all those little leaves - on one of my designs I have about 40 ends to tie off and sew in after sewing around what feels like a gazillion little bits! Fun but very frustrating at times. I hope you got my email about Saturday...

Love your buttons... great fabric! When I first had a go at making them for clippies, I have to admit I became a little addicted. I sat there for hours selecting fabrics with small patterns and pretty colour combinations.

Oooh! Try your jatz with cheese next time... almost as good as making buttons. :)
