A new shirt for Finn (Melanie's boy). I wish I could say I made it just because but the truth is I need to practice collars and I would dearly love to offer some collared shirts to potential customers. The fabric is lovely soft cotton from Ikea ($4/m) and some gorgy cotton gingham from Lincraft. Don't you love the surprise orange buttons?

Please excuse the terrible photos, I am borrowing my brother's lovely Nikon but I don't know how to use it, I got so used to my father in law's Canon but he has taken it away with him for the next 4 months. I am going to be an SLR pro by the time I actually get to own one!

A brand new pillowcase for Evie. Now this is a fantastic quick and satisfying project for the ADHD sewers like me. I decided to make this at about 6pm last night and it took about 20 minutes. Isn't it great!! Evie told me she loves it, and last night was the very first time since being in a toddler bed that she didn't climb out! (No, I did not infuse the fabric with sleep inducing herbs and potions...)

Hex LURVE!! Look how big it is! I am so thrilled with this quilt. It is almost time to think about buying some batting and doing a bit of hand quilting. Melanie's baby is due in about 10 weeks or so, so I still have time to do some handwork since I am enjoying that aspect of this project so much.

I am still slightly nervous about this quilt being too floral if she has a little boy. If he is anything like my brother then he will completely accept his feminine side.

Sophie, your hex quilt is lovely and so is the shirt. I don't think its too floral for a little boy, I am sure they will love it! Sorry to hear about Siena's friends family..that is so sad

I so love that shirt. Finn is going to look so smart, especially with those buttons.

That Hex quilt looks amazing! I am also in awe of anyone who can sew a collar, nice work. Ikea really is a little treasure trove of fabric at the moment isn't it.

The hexagons are gorgeous! And I love the shirt too, so nice to see something cool for little boys... they miss out a bit, all the cutest stuff seems to be for girls.
