wise words

I was reading Carmen's blog a little while ago about Christmas preparation. I always have good intentions to be organised for Christmas with presents but always fall short. Andrew and I have over the past few years still been shopping furiously on Christmas Eve, buying whatever we can get our hands on for whoever we forgot about. It's not fun, nor does it instill any kind of joy of the season in us.

This year it's going to be different (ok, I know I have said that before but I really mean it this time), I am going to be dilligent in not spending too much money and also trying to make as much as I can for others. Firstly, because I really enjoy sewing, and secondly because I really truly believe that it shouldn't be about stuff and money and wanting more and more.

These cute little birides took no time to make and I only used fabric from my scraps bucket. I think they are so adoreable and can be made into mobiles, or tree decorations, or on a wreath...appliqued, beaded etc etc!

I think those birds would make a lovely wreath! It looks like they have already found a home though ;)
