I wanted a big fat contented bird. I thought this looked pretty good. Andrew said it didn't resemble a bird at all and if he were looking for a bib with a bird on it, he wouldn't buy this one! Thanks! So I streamlined her a little
She lost her wing, lost some weight and became a little more beakish, but now she looks like a duck and although I really love ducks it isn't what my original idea was: a big fat contented bird (that looks like a bird).I actually did some free handing, which I never do because I feel like I really suck at drawing, which frustrates me to no end because I often have so many ideas flooding my head that I can't translate onto paper - makes me mad!

My free hand drawing was the baby bird and I asked Andrew to try and scale it up for me which he did really well, but then I couldn't separate them, they just looked so cute together.
I am really happy with these birds and I would like to try and extend the picture by embroidering some legs and maybe grass, a tree etc.Looks like it's gonna be a beautiful day today, hope you all enjoy your Sunday.
