After sewing like a crazy loon in order to get ready for markets, it's so nice to be able to sew for fun, to sew whatever I feel like. I asked my mother in law whether the ric rac was too much but she said you just can't have too much. I think Lucia's friend will be happy.
Of course I appliqued a bird. I am just loving birds right now, plump, self assured, happy birds. Love them! I was really organised and templated (with laminate) the 2 bird shapes that I have and I hope to add to the 'collection' (very loose term there) so I can maybe, at some point, do a bit of a bird collage!! Yikes, better not get ahead of myself.
Mathilda's market is looming and I can feel my conscience telling me I need to stop being frivolous and start working.
