needing some colour

What happened to Spring? We had 2 days of beautiful hot sunny weather and now rain, chilly cold wind...This weather kills any inspiration for me. It's all I can do to make my bed and straighten up, I just want to go back to bed and read Eclipse . My hands are permanently cold and I just feel blah!! It's so interesting how moods can be affected by the weather. I don't mind rainy, cold weather for a little while but I feel like in Spring and Summer I come alive and I just feel good. Not to mention fashion choices being heaps better in Summer. My wardrobe is hopelessly inadequate for cold weather, I have a couple of jumpers and long sleeve tops, 3 pairs of jeans and that's it! If I don't wash for a couple of days I am screwed.

I am not sure about other parts of the world but Australia needs all the rain it can get, we are in drought continually, so it's almost blasphemous to complain about the rain. I feel somewhat safe doing it on this blog. ( I don't even own an umbrella - my word, how have I gotten this far without an umbrella??)

These little appliqué houses were heavily inspired by one of my absolute favourite bloggers, Manda from treefall. This lady is amazing, not only does she create the most beautiful things I have ever seen, she also write so well, her posts are always interesting, funny, touching and completely genuine.

I have no idea what to do with panel of little houses, it's about half a meter long. Any ideas would be really valued.

Well, according to the bottom rh corner of the last pic. Looks like the creep has claimed that one. :)

Otherwise, it'd make a great tie for my meetings.

Hmmm I think it would make a great addition to a lap quilt :) I agree, on cold rainy days, all I want to do is stay inside and keep warm and bundled up. Hope some sunnier weather comes your way soon!

Hang it (can it be framed or mounted somehow?) as a piece of art for Eva's room? It's beautiful!

I agree with the previous poster -- it's art, and should be hung and enjoyed! Gorgeous.
