happy father's day

To my one true love Andrew, for being a knock out dad to 3 pretty complex little girls and a comforting, caring and generous husband to me. I love you.

These are the P.J pants I was working on for Andrew:

You can't really see the contrasting hem down the bottom. It's that lovely floral green I blogged about last week. I think they look super, Andrew is a little dubious. He just needs some time to get used to them I think (considering his last ones were dark grey - so boring!). Thanks for the pose Andrew, I know you didn't really want to.

Saturday just pelted down with rain - all day! I holed up in my room sewing whilst Andrew watched movies with the kids. It was pretty lovely (although freezing).

I made this gorgeous little skirt for Lucia from here. The pattern calls for a ribbon edge but I didn't have any ribbon fat enough for this (I actually have a really sad looking ribbon stash) so I just used a nice wide piece of Amy Butler's coriander fabric which I think looks really pretty. This site has some outstanding tutorials, really quick but satisfying patterns. I really recommend having a look around.

I also knocked up a little pencil roll - my first one, for my niece Ellie who is going into hospital tomorrow. I wanted a little compact pencil case that was easy for her hands to use and that also looks cute because that is really important.

Sorry about the poor quality of the photo, it was so dark and gray everywhere in the house it was hard to get a good shot. I got the tutorial from here.

I couldn't help posting these 2 photos from this morning. Firstly there is Eva yawning as Andrew was opening his gift.

And this one of Andrew and Eva walking to my brother's house (3 houses away) for breaky.

There is something really sweet about big men and little kids, looks so cute.

That pic of Eva scared the bejesus out of me. Also, there is nothing 'big' about Andrew. :)

I always thought that when it comes to stomachs you're alright so long as you can see your toes. Maybe I should lay off the pancakes, and work on the sit-ups (might even throw in a push-up or two).

I love my pjs by the way. Thank you my love for a wonderful fathers day. You had no sleep on Saturday night and yet you still managed to get up at 6:30am for the kids so I could sleep in! I love you.
