Cute title huh? I am so proud of myself coming up with something so witty this Thursday afternoon when I am pretty tired and about to make some more coffee...Eva gets through a tonne of this stuff, it makes up about 98.2% of her nutrition. She is fed this formula via her gastrostomy , about 800 mls a day, so you can imagine how many tins we use. I have always just washed the tin out and recycled it, but today, for some reason, I was thinking there must be something I can make/do with this tin. Is there anyone out there using formula? Maybe you have ideas, or you have implemented an idea to re-use your tins. I have no idea where to start in covering this, mainly because it has ridges down it and also because it is so shiny and slippery. I have never done this kind of craft before.
I know that it would be great for jigsaw pieces, or dolly accessories but what about food? Is the lid tight enough to make sure food doesn't go soft? I suppose this will just be trial and error.

I always thought the same thing when we were going through a tin a week of formula. My thoughts were, and Sienna may enjoy this (?) decorating them up with things like felt, ribbon etc. and using them to hold pencil crayons or other crafty things. I am not sure about food though - that seems a little iffy to me. But, they would be great containers and a good rainy day craft project!
how about orange has a cute tin covering tutorial (on her side bar, click tutorials and scroll down). i keep thinking i should cover some of our coffee tins. also saw a cute robot tin on crafty crow last week or the week before. have fun!
maybe pots for pot plants and you could get the girls to paint them. or as bongo drums for eva??

We reuse ours for storing crayons, markers, craft supplies, etc. I just cover mine with cardstock, but I like carmen's felt idea better!
