We have had a busy, lovely, confronting and productive few days. Firstly, the lovely; if it wasn't for friends like my BFF Sjaan then I probably would never get out of the house. She invited us to the park on Tuesday along with with our other friend Fiona and we had such a great time. The weather was so beautiful and Lucia was in heaven playing with Charli and Hunter, Eva just toddled around the place, stealing food, toys and other non bolted down items. The sun was so warm on our faces, I felt my whole body enjoying it.

I really can be a lazy friend, tending to wait for others to organise social get togethers. The truth is I am pretty comfortable on my own and I really like not having plans especially during the week as it can get so hectic. Going to park yesterday reminded me how much I love being with friends and how important it is not only for me to make the effort to see people but also for Lucia and Eva who really love other kids and get a real buzz from being outside and just mucking about.

Now I know Lucia looks pretty cute in that picture above. The smile, the innocent eyes, the sweet bobbly jumper. The truth is that she really tested all my parental understanding yesterday after a huge fire truck arrived in my driveway and 3 fully suited up fireman knocked on my door to see if I was ok and hadn't passed out from smoke inhalation. Yes, it's true. In the past we have had issues with the police arriving at all times of the day and night as the previous tenants still had their mobile phones connected to our address, so I gave the same story to the firemen. They were really cool and were happy we were all ok. The penny didn't drop until I walked back inside to see Lucia cowering behind a chair. I asked her point blank did she dial 000, she said no, I then said Iknow you did and you are in BIG TROUBLE, to which she responded, please don't tell daddy. Sure enough when I redialed the phone it was 000!!

These are some pants I have been sewing to get ready for the next market. We will be at either Narrabeen or Manly market, still deciding. Our stock is quite depleted after all Mel's sales so we need some replenishing big time. On that note, I got my machine back and it runs like a dream! it's so yummy, I just want to sew and sew.
