so nice!

I was taking a look through comments left on past posts. I came across one from this lady from a blog I have been reading for ages (and only just started commenting on coz I am a big chicken). Thanks so much Molly. I also have been getting sweet comments from Carmen a gorgeous gal from one of my favourtie places, Canada. I really appreciate the comments, I am beginning to feel like I am part of a community. I have so many blogs that I read religiously, I love being inspired and excited about other people's work, I feel in awe most of the time with the compentance, skill and beauty of the crafting world, and these are women like me, makes me feel like I will be able to achieve a better quality of work with patience, practice and of course drop dead beautiful inspirations like these 2 women (to name a few) provide.

Speaking of Canada, I am about to send a package off to my girlfriend Megan in Alberta, for her little boy who will be 1 very soon. I have never met Christian but his photos speak volumes of total cuteness and yumminess. I hope Megan enjoys the gifts, I know Christian will be completely bored by them!

bib pattern from here

Of course some warm cords from barefootbabies for the upcoming Candadian autumn.

I also made some bias binding. Too cool, and way easy. I did end up binding the edge of that beautiful soft waffle fabric for Lucia's tea parties but she cared not at all for it! Humph!

It's great to make in excess, I just need some of those little white cards to wrap ribbons and bias around to try and tackle the crazy mess that is my sewing area, now sprawling out of the bedroom and impinging on other areas of the house...

You are too sweet. I'm awed by your work and wish I was a better seamstress! Those clothes you made for Christian look awesome! I'm sure his Mom will love them :)

What a beautiful package - I LOVE the pants. And Lucia may have been nonplussed by the bias binding, but I think it's gorgeous (nothing better than handmade bias binding I reckon!!
Cheers, Bec.
