a big girl and a little girl's party

Siena isn't really in my central vision anymore - she tends to skirt around the periphery. That's not to say that she isn't on my mind all the time but just that she has grown away from being tied to me. Sometimes I need to force myself into her life, I think if I let her she could become quite insular. I know this is all teenage stuff but I am not prepared to lose the special connection that I have always felt with her. She is a lot like what I was like at her age; tall, skinny, a little left of centre, quirky and insecure. I have such an understanding of her pain and angst she feels when she thinks she isn't fitting in, that she isn't like the other girls.

To me she is a joy, so sweet, highly emotional, sensetive, intelligent and funny. All I want for her is to see inside herself what I see everyday, a beautiful girl with endless possibilities. Someone who needs to learn to rise above the pettiness of the everyday and to accept her peculiarities, her unique attributes and to be confident in all that she possesses.

After sitting an achievement test Siena was accepted into Pittwater High and also to do extension classes at Narrabeen High. What a girl! I love you Siena.

Lucia licking the bowl from Siena's chocolate spiders made for Ellie's party.

Eva had a blast at Ellie's party.

As did Abbey.

And Lucia!

Siena is such a great kid, I love hanging with her. I am so proud that she got into Pittwater, I doubt I would have if I had to sit that test these days. :)

Give her a big kiss and cuddle for me. Sorry I didnt come up today, I feel I'm going nuts with so much on.
